We worked closely with the RCI team to design and develop a new website leading into the holiday season, taking a mobile-first approach to UX based on user demographics. The updated platform introduced new functionality on the homepage as well as optimized organization of the product information. We on-boarded a partner to facilitate international shipping, duties and taxes that increased metrics with overseas customers.
To kickstart the new season, we launched a campaign rewarding newsletter subscribers with early access. This campaign showcased the seasonal video for in-season direct to consumer communication. This included a lead generation strategy with early access, leading to a surge in email sign-ups. Overall, we saw a strong increase in early sales compared to previous season launch performance.
Additionally, we provided merchandise planning for the direct business.

We began our journey into ecommerce and retail as the founders of Need Supply Co.'s online business. We were responsible for the strategy, development, creative direction and marketing for the brand and platform. What started as a three person team in a rented garage loft, grew to become a globally recognized leader in the digital space, with multiple offices in the US, a 60,000 sq ft distribution center and two stores in Japan.
Need Supply Co. was a destination for inspiration and discovery, as well as an expertly edited retailer.
We were at the forefront of combining content and commerce, creating lasting cultural connections with our customers, while maintaining a distinct brand both physically and digitally.
We launched a magazine, Human Being Journal, driven by our focus on celebrating community and culture, that was distributed around the world and translated into multiple languages.
